Advanced Features in Preview

Many options are available when you preview a report as shown below in the picture followed by a brief description of each.

Part 1: You may enlarge or compress the report view using these buttons.
Part 2: You may jump to any page using this option.
Part 3: Navigational buttons to select 1st, Prev., Next, Last Page of the report. You may scroll through pages by pressing 'PgUp'/'PgDown' keys.
Part 4: Click here to print the report. When you click then following screen appears:

In above shown screen you can select Printer where you wants to send the print. You may also give Range of Pages to print in Pages: From, To prompt. You may also give the printing of Even/Odd Pages and No. of copies to print also be input here. In above screen it also shows the current printing mode like Laser or Dot Matrix etc.

Part 5: This allows you to do the following

Save As VCR File...: You may save any report using this option. The saved file is in .VCR format.  You may preview/ print VCR files through VReader. See help topic V Reader. Note that VReader does not support Dot Matrix Printing. However Dot Matrix Reports may be saved for viewing purposes only. You may also save selected pages and password protect (encrypt) your .VCR file as shown below:

Save As PDF File...: You may export any report to PDF format by using this option. After clicking the following screen shall appears:

Here from above option you may select the desired option for creating PDF file like you want to export all pages, Particular range of pages or current previewed page. If Outlook is configured with a POP3 email account then you may also check against "E-Mail this file" prompt to e-mail the pdf file.
Send to Excel: You may transfer your Reports in Microsoft Excel using this option. Reports generated for Dot Matrix Printer cannot be export to excel. But this option is still available in DMP mode. When you use "Send to Excel" in Dos mode then Visual Catpro exports the report to excel using Laser mode. All cells are transferred as characters in this option, hence calculations cannot be performed in Excel.

Send to Excel (Numeric Format): Same as above except that numeric columns are sent as numbers to allow you to perform calculations in Excel.

Send To Word: You may transfer your Reports in Microsoft Word using this option. Reports generated for Dot Matrix Printer are not supported by this option.
