Taking Backup of Data is an important task. Taking backup of your data is
very simple in Visual Catpro. It takes Backup of all available financial years
or a specific financial year. Click on 'Backup' Button from Right Button Bar
of the Main Screen of Visual Catpro as shown below.
When you Click Backup you are prompted to select the destination drive
on which Backup is to be stored as shown below:
Select the destination drive where you want to take the Backup. It can be
a CD-Drive also. Visual Catpro automatically burns the CD of your backup.
There is no need to install Other CD Burning Software like Nero and
others.
After clicking on 'Backup' button it creates a folder named 'VCPBkup' in
the selected Drive which contains a file named with the Firm Name and the
extension of file is .BK09
If you want to take backup of multiple years then click on the 'Advanced'
check box. The following screen appears:
Here you have 3 different options:
Backup All Years
If you check this option then the backup of all years will be taken.
For every year a different file for every year will be created.
Password Protect Backup
You may password protect the backup file. Which means this file
cannot be restored without the password. When restore the file it will asks
you to enter the password.
Select Backup Folder
By default Visual Catpro creates 'VCPBkup' folder for backup. If you
wants to take backup in any other folder instead of VCPBkup folder then
select this folder.
Caution: You must verify that the Backup exist on the destination drive.
You must also check the Date Time properties of the file to ensure that
latest backup file is available in the destination drive.
Note: You cannot open the Backup file. To viewing the Backup File's Data you have to Restore the Data.
