Locking of Data is possible in Visual Catpro. To Lock Data Login in 'SUPERVISOR' then click on 'Lock Data' Button in 'H.Keeping' module.

Here is the description of various options of this module:-
Lock Data:
You may lock data of selected transaction types for the specified date
range. Data may also be unlocked for a specific date range. E.g. if you
have locked data for the period 1/4/2008 to 30/6/2008, you may unlock
data for any period like: 15/5/2008 to 30/5/2008. However this unlocking
is subject to dates / days specified in Lock Data + / Auto Lock / Auto
Lock+.
Lock Data +:
You may use this option to lock data up to a particular Date. You will not
be able to Add/Modify any record up to this date. If you mention
30/9/2008 as lock data + Date, you will not be able to Add/Modify any
data up to 30/9/2008 even if you have unlocked the data for this period
1/4/2008 to 30/9/2008.
Auto Lock:
This option locks data automatically after specified days. If you specify 3
days for auto lock and have made entries up to 30/6/2008, you will not be
allowed to modify any entry for the period up to 27/6/2008 (even if you
have unlocked the data for this period) however you may still add data of
any date.
Auto Lock +:
This works like auto lock but you are not allowed to add any data before
27/6/2008 (with reference to example in Auto Lock)
Invoice Lock:
You may opt to Lock Invoices automatically after printing.
Remove All Locks:
Sometimes you apply multiple locks and find it difficult to remove a specific
lock, in such case you may use the option Remove All Locks. This will
remove all locks in the current financial year except invoices.
