Visual Catpro supports both Dos Based and Windows based printing.You
may set your Printer settings according to available printers. To set your
printer, click on Printer setting button as shown in image below:
You may also press 'Ctrl+W' to change settings. After clicking on it, the
following screen shall appear:
Here you may specify the default setting and default Printer for Visual
Catpro. You have to select one of the three printing mode options shown
on the left side in the above picture. You have to select the Printer Name /
Port Name against the said selection. We recommend you to use third
option for Dot Matrix Printer (D.M.P) for printing on D.M.P printers
Different Background colors will be set when we preview any report. It will
be white in case of Laser Printer, Light blue in case of Dot Matrix / Draft
Printing. In case of Direct Printing on Port (LPT) the background color of
previewed report shall be Light green.
Note:
Sometimes we may want to print invoices on D.M.P. printer and rest of the
reports like A/c statement, Trial balance etc. on laser printer. In such a
case, you may set a different printer for invoice printing in the following
way.
Click on Others -> Printer Setting (This Report) after previewing the
invoice as shown below:
After clicking on 'Printer Setting (This Report)' you will see the
following window:-
If you want to print on Dot Matrix Printer check Prompt 'DOS Mode
printing' as shown above. If you want to send the printing directly to a
port then choose the relevant port. You can not send printing directly to a
USB port. In the above screen LPT1 has been chosen. If you want to use
the relevant driver you should opt for 'Use Printer' instead of port name.
Note that all Printer settings are for local computer. If you are working on
LAN version of Visual Catpro Printer settings have to be set on each
Node/Client separately.
Note:
All changes made in the settings of preview/print shall become effective
after quitting the preview module. If you print the report with out quitting
the preview window, old settings shall be used for printing the current
report.
