After updating K7 anti-virus, I am getting the error message “Can’t verify backup files. Missing VARC” in Visual Catpro. What should I do ?

K7 (09/08/2019 update) is giving a false positive in the anti-virus software and removing one of the important executable files by quarantining the same.

Step-by-step guidelines to restore this file are as under: –

1. Right click on K7 icon appearing in system tray (right side of taskbar) and click on “Open K7 Security”.

2. Click on “Reports”

3. Click on “Quarantine Manager”

4. Select row in which “VARC.exe” filename is appearing and click on “Restore” link.

5. Then K7 will prompt you that do you want restore this file. In this dialog, check the check box “Add file(s) to exclusion before restore” and click “Yes”.

In some cases, you may need to run the full setup of Visual Catpro to restore the file.
